HIP - Breakfast with oats
Good morning lovely Readers,
My sis would say that I am not really a morning person. But I have changed.... Something has brighten my morning and it is not my boyfriend...he is also not that kind of morning person either (not that much talking in the morning:)). The reason why my morning has made me a happy person is due to my second favorite passion called food in the category oats with fruit. Making oats will take at least 5 minutes of your time. Grab a bowl, a measuring mug and scale and a pan. Cook the milk you love (soja, nut or normal milk) add the oats and boil it. When it is properly cooked into your bowl and add healthy products like, fruit, nuts, cinnamon or honey etc and eat:).
The book of Kris Verburgh called the Food Hourglass has inspired me that much that I was definitely willing to try oats. A couple of years ago I really disliked oats due to its structure and the way it was prepared by myself. Todays discussion is often about how important milk and bread is and if it is as healthy as been told. I still believe bread and milk are healthy products, how can a baby grow and how did my grandparents get old when having two times a day bread and milk. What we do at home is divide ingredients like milk, different types of grains, meat, vegetables, carbohydrates, sugars, fats and wine. I still eat chocolate sometimes but I try to avoid cookies which is not always possible.
I bought the book "Havermoutje" as a present and was sold when I saw the dishes havermoutje.nl . This week Havermoutje launched their new book "Nootjes" and they sell their ingredients via bodyenfitshop.nl (both dutch websites) The rest of my blog will be pictures of my morning ritual with oats. It is a pleasure to eat fresh fruit or thinking that you eat a apple pie in a healthy way and next to that I can share it! <3
